As Governor of the State of Arizona, I would like to welcome you to our beautiful state.
There’s no place on earth quite like Arizona. Our pride and joy, the Grand Canyon, is one of the Seven Wonders of the World; yet we are also proud of our Petrified Forest, our sixteen National Monuments, our snow-capped mountains and pristine deserts. These historic sights, plus others of equal beauty and significance, marveled our Native American predecessors, and our pioneer ancestors and they continue to draw thousands of visitors today.
Arizona has an extremely diverse cultural history that brings a vibrant blend of traditions to our unique southwestern lifestyle. Our storied past reaches back thousands of years and our future is as bright as the Arizona sunshine. Many people, many lands and many faiths have come together to make Arizona an unforgettable travel destination.
I hope that each of you will take the opportunity after your gathering to go to a professional sporting event, visit one of our outstanding universities, or do business with our cutting edge industries to get a better sense of Arizona’s warm hospitality and unique culture.
